Inter-County provides a home care service that is flexible, friendly and at the same time professional, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care from very experienced carers. We fully understand how difficult it can be for people to adjust to the idea of needing someone to help or care for them in their own home. With this in mind, we take time to provide a tailor made care package, taking each individual's needs into consideration.

After the initial enquiry, each client is visited by his or her local Inter-County manager. The needs of each individual client are discussed in great detail to assess the level of support required. During this meeting, which is free of charge, a full assessment is carried out and a Care Plan is agreed upon with the client.

Staff are then appointed based on their training and experience relevant to each client's needs. We aim to ensure that the personality and the professional suitability of the carer/nurse are compatible with that of each client.

Our carers offer the following services:

• Personal Care
  Helping clients get up in the morning, retire in the evening, bathing, washing, dressing.
• General Help
  Around the home, general cleaning, cooking, laundry, ironing, shopping.
• Companionship
  Spending time talking to clients to help prevent loneliness, escorted days out, trips to the shops, escorted holidays.
• Live-In Care
  To assist clients in maintaining independence in thier own homes and to support them in living a full and active life - for more information click here.

All staff undergo a rigorous recruitment process and are thoroughly screened before being allowed to work for Inter-County. Criminal Records Bureau checks are undertaken by us, as are POVA (protection of vulnerable adults) checks. We are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection, our regulatory body. On-going training is essential for each member of staff and we make sure that regular supervision takes place. We are committed to providing a service of the highest quality and this in turn means ensuring good communication both with clients and staff. We work closely with GPs, health professionals and any involved family members to make sure that each client receives the correct level of care and support.
