Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) Trying to find the right care agency for private home care can be a daunting project. If you do not have any experience of private care, and know very little about care agencies or care homes, it is extremely difficult to assess which is the right organisation to help you or your relatives. The old-fashioned way was to accept the advice given by someone working in the care sector, a doctor, care worker, or friend. Now, with the amount of information currently available, you too can make your own choices. The provision of Domiciliary Care is subject to a range of legislation and regulation. As a result, new standards and regulations have come into effect which require all private care providers to be registered and comply with the standards set down under the Care Standards Act 2000.
The inspection process enables the Commission to measure the performance of each care provider. It then files a report of its findings which are available to the public and can be obtained by visiting their website, www.csci.org.uk. Inter-County is registered with CSCI as a provider of care services. Details of the most recent inspection reports, of all branches, can be accessed by visiting the CSCI website. |
