Live-In Care
With a Live-In carer you will always have someone close at hand to assist with day to day tasks. Continuing care at home provides the support needed to maintain independence while ensuring that your specific care needs and individual preferences are met. Live-In Care packages can be arranged on a continuous basis or for a short period of time. We can provide ongoing support or short-term help at home for rehabilitation or convalescence following an illness or hospital stay. If a regular carer needs a well-earned holiday break, we can provide respite cover for a weekend, a week, or just one week a month. Our aim is to provide a quality service with the flexibility to meet individual needs.
Our Live In Care packages are tailored to suit each individual, based on assessed needs and the level of care required. An initial assessment will be carried out by one of our Area Nurse Managers and confirmation of the agreed care package and charge rates will be given in writing. Outlined below are the broad levels of care provided: Companionship
For the more independent client who although capable of managing their own personal care, would like the assurance of someone being around (up to five hours per day), to assist with basic domestic tasks or to sit and have a chat over a cup of tea. Support Care
This package is offered to clients who require a level of assistance (up to eight hours per day) with some personal care tasks as well as support with domestic duties. This package is based on the carer having a break during the day and undisturbed nights. Intermediate Care
A tailored care package offered to clients who require assistance (up to 10 hours per day) with full personal care, including mobility, management of medication, and social support. The client should be comfortable to be left unattended for short periods of time during the day, with the requirement for night calls being minimal. High Dependency Care
A tailored care package for those clients who are unable to be left alone and require constant support and assistance (up to 12 hours per day). This package is based on the client having complex and higher level care needs throughout the day with the likelihood of increased attention during the night. Nursing Care
This package is offered to clients who fall into the High Dependency category but who would prefer the option of having a qualified nurse in situ for all or part of the week. It may also be necessary to offer this package if the care needs of the client require certain tasks which may only be performed by a qualified nurse. Enquiries
