Danut Gheorghiu

Registered Manager

Having studied finance at the Vasile Goldis University in Romania, Danut’s early career was in finance and retail where he utilised his skills in both accounting and sales. In 2009 he moved to the UK and it was at this point his career path changed when he started work in the care sector. Since then, he has continued to develop his skills and abilities in a variety of different job roles and care settings. In 2017, Danut joined Inter-County as an experienced Registered Manager, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He is passionate about making sure that people receive a quality care service and this underpins every aspect of his work with both clients and staff alike. Danut oversees the management of our Worthing and Chichester branches and is the Registered Manager for services in both locations.

Inter-County has been providing care at home services in the Chichester area since 2002 and subsequently we have earned a reputation as the leading provider of home care services for the Chichester locality. The reputation we have developed stems from our exceptional team of carers – who are compassionate, kind and enthusiastic about delivering outstanding care to all.

The care plans we create are completely unique and can be altered to suit all circumstances and needs. Our home care packages are designed to your specific requirements, providing you with a care solution delivered by our fully trained carers, ensuring independence and support in the comfort of your own home.

“We needed to find care that was reliable, caring and efficient. Inter-County are all of these plus enthusiastic and cheerful whenever contacted. We have been extremely satisfied with their service”

“I cannot fault the sensitive skilled and professional way these carers have supported a fiercely independent lady with mild dementia and slowly but surely gained her trust and developed a life enhancing relationship with her”

“Thank you guys for being so ‘on the ball’ and responsive always, greatly appreciated, I cannot thank you enough and I need to say that all the girls supporting me are so caring and thoughtful, I do not have enough words to praise them”

Care at Home

Inter-County provides a home care service that is flexible, friendly, efficient and professional. We fully understand how difficult it can be to adjust to the idea of needing help and support with day to day living and, with this in mind, we take time to create a personalised care service that reflects your individual needs and requirements. Our Care at Home service not only offers practical support to assist with daily tasks but also provides the encouragement and emotional support that is often needed to remain living independently – with your dignity and personal choice being paramount in all that we do.

Live-in Care & Housekeeping

Given a choice most of us would prefer to remain living in the comfort of our own homes. Sometimes, due to frailty or ill health, this is not always possible – but with Live-In Care you have the option to stay at home and be supported to live a full and active life. The arrangement of care and support can be for a continuous or short period of time. Live-In Care provides the support needed to help you with everyday living. It can also assist you with personal care, management of medication, general household tasks and support with appointments and social events

Dementia Care

As a close family member you may well be making the difficult decision of choosing care for someone affected by dementia. Throughout the varying stages of dementia we are able to provide the necessary support to help people stay living at home, safely and independently, for as long as possible. By assessing people’s physical, personal and emotional needs we are able to design a package of care to meet specific requirements.

Respite & Short-Term Care

This service is needed for many different reasons and for varying periods of time. It can be required at a moment’s notice such as after an unexpected operation or illness, or when a full-time carer needs a holiday or suddenly goes sick. Short term care can also be planned in advance and Inter-County will provide cover for as much or as little time as required; this can be for a few hours a day, a week, over a weekend or right up to full-time Live-In Care. We provide a flexible service which can be adapted to each person’s situation and circumstances

Palliative & End of Life Care

A number of terms are used when a person is approaching the last stages of their life such as palliative care, supportive care, terminal care and end of life care. Whatever the terminology, it is always a traumatic and incredibly emotional time for everyone concerned. In these circumstances, Inter-County can help by providing experienced staff to give the reassurance, comfort and support needed during this difficult time. With care and sensitivity our carers can help the person retain a sense of hope and normality. Our holistic approach means we work closely with other Healthcare Professionals and Specialists to ensure that the person’s care needs are being met at all times.

Social Companionship

This service is most suited to people who will benefit from having companionship and support when family members and friends are unable to visit regularly. Our carers will provide company and conversation, help you keep in contact with friends and assist with social activities. We provide you and your family with the reassurance that you are being visited regularly and maintaining your normal daily routine.
