Inter-County Nursing & Care Services has been providing home care since 2002, with the objective of enabling older people and adults that need support, to enjoy the familiarity of their own homes and continue to take their place in the communities they know and love.

From the outset, we have earned a reputation for professionalism, reliability, flexibility, empathy and a friendly, caring approach to our clients and their families.

Our founder, Caroline Hempstead remains the owner and Managing Director of Inter-County Nursing & Care Services.

We provide services in Chichester, Worthing and Christchurch, each with a dedicated team of knowledgeable, skilled and friendly staff who have the best interests of their clients at heart. Our managers have a wealth of experience in the care sector and will be pleased to advise you and your relative on the most suitable solution to their care needs. Through in-depth discussions, they will ensure that, personal choice, independence, safety and individual preferences are met and included in the care plan.

Meet the team

Caroline Hempstead

Managing Director

Caroline’s involvement with the care sector started from a very early age, as she and her five sisters grew up in one of the four nursing homes owned by her parents. Over the years Caroline worked in a variety of care settings, before setting up Inter-County Nursing & Care Services in 2002. She is passionate about delivering care to the highest of standards and believes that a person centred approach is fundamental in achieving this.

Martin Cox

Finance Director

Martin’s career in finance spans over 40 years giving him a broad range of skills and expertise in both finance, accounting and payroll. Martin is a Chartered Company Secretary (FCIS) and provides the service with the required levels of experience and knowledge to support our day to day operations.

Irina Crismaru

Registered Manager – Chichester & Worthing Branch

Irina has always been passionate about helping others and since moving to the UK in 2011 has provided care to the highest of standards within a variety of Social Care settings, including supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Dementia, Aspergers and Autism. Irina joined the Inter-County team in 2018, during which time she has utilised and developed her skills to support her current role as Registered Manager of the service. Irina leads by example and is driven to ensure that people experience a quality and personalised service at all times.

Kerrera Goddard

Deputy Manager – Chichester & Worthing Branch

Kerrera first became passionate about care when she looked after her Nan who had Alzheimer’s/Dementia and her Uncle who was deaf and non-verbal. She has a deep desire to help people and started working in a caring role in 2014, covering a variety of different roles within the sector. Since joining the Inter-County team in 2021, Kerrera has successfully progressed in her career and sets an excellent example for others to follow in the delivery of quality care. Kerrera supports the Registered Manager on a daily basis to ensure that quality standards are met and that staff are supported in their role.

Bernadette Evans

Registered Manager – Christchurch Branch

Bernadette has worked in the Health Care sector for a number of years and within a variety of settings. Her experience includes working with older people, and she has a passion for working with adults who are experiencing the effects of old age/frailty. Bernadette is also a qualified trainer and is responsible for delivering face to face training modules throughout the Company.
