Care at home

Whether your relative requires support with everyday living or has more complex needs, we can adapt our service to help ensure independence and confidence to their regular routine.

Understandably, it is often difficult for clients to accept that support is needed. Our carers and managers work with empathy and sensitivity to ensure meeting your relative’s individual needs, whether helping with routine tasks around the home, making sure that prescribed medication is taken correctly or preparing meals, for all of which they have training and experience.

For more sensitive needs like personal hygiene, continence, bed routine and dressing, our carers always put your relative’s independence, dignity and personal choice first.

Common Questions

  • Who are Inter County Nursing & Care Services?

Established in 2002, Inter-County Nursing & Care Services is a privately owned leading home care provider. Our experienced, knowledgeable and passionate care workers deliver unrivalled relationship-led home care services spanning our three core regions: Chichester, Worthing and Christchurch. At Inter County we endeavour to provide those that require support with the highest level of care in the familiarity and comfort of their own homes.

We offer a wide array of care services to suit most circumstances, with the key element of flexibility. This means that our bespoke care plans can be changed to accommodate and respond to our clients evolving needs.

  • Why choose home care?

Home care is often the first choice for many families as it enables your loved one to remain in the comfort of their own home. For individuals with Alzheimer’s or Dementia the upheaval involved with moving into residential care can be extremely disruptive and traumatic, so providing care at home removes the potential of this happening.

There are many benefits to receiving care at home, not only does it provide comfort and reassurance to the person using our services but it also helps them to maintain their independence in a familiar setting with regular carers who will deliver a quality service and have their best interests in mind.

Our team of compassionate and experienced professionals work in a person-centred way that promotes dignity, choice and independence. Our staff are passionate about what they do, which results in a positive experience for all concerned.

  • What sets Inter County apart from other care providers?

We feel that our reputation for empathy and a friendly, caring approach sets us apart from other care providers. At Inter County, the well-being of our staff, clients and their family members is our top priority. Unlike many other care providers, we take time to find out about the person we’re supporting. Not only do we talk to them about their care needs and requirements, we talk to them about their life, their hopes and fears, likes and dislikes, hobbies and social interactions so we can match our staff to meet their specific care needs as well as their personality and interests.

Our carers commitment ensures a personalised care service, completely tailored to individual requirements, abilities and wishes.

Our knowledgeable team will work with you to establish the type of care package needed and advise on the most suitable option for you to consider.

  • How do you allocate care workers to clients?

Much like our care plans – there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to matching our care staff with the people they support. We will only place staff that have the necessary qualifications, experience and knowledge to meet the person’s care needs; whilst also taking into account common interests and compatibility to ensure we find the right match.

We pride ourselves on having a team of staff that are as passionate as we are in providing quality care and their skills, values and commitment to their role are integral in helping us to achieve this.
