Are you curious about embarking on a career in the care industry where you can make a difference to people’s lives everyday? Or perhaps you’re an experienced carer looking to work with a care provider that will support you and help you to develop your skills further – either way, we would love to hear from you.
Here at Inter-County Nursing & Care Services we believe in the growth and development of our staff. Our skilled and knowledgeable team are passionate about providing the highest level of care to our service users and their families. Working in the care sector is not just an emotionally rewarding experience, it’s one of the most varied too. You will work with a range of different people with differing care requirements – every day is different to the next.
A desire to help people and the ability to work well with others is really important in the care sector. Working with sensitivity and understanding whilst having the patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations is imperative. To be thorough and pay attention to detail whilst working under pressure is key. Overall, empathy and respect play a huge role – you should want to actively engage and build relationships with clients, putting their complex individual needs before your own.
At Inter-County our staff turnover rate is refreshingly low. We like to think this is because of the many benefits, alongside the tight-knit team of supportive professionals who work with us. Not only do we provide the opportunity to train as you learn, we offer ongoing career progression and development opportunities. We provide flexible hours – as many or as few as you choose, allowing you to work around your family, education or interests. We offer excellent rates of pay – paid weekly, including mileage. We also provide holiday pay and a stakeholder pension. You will receive professional and friendly support 24/7 – the lovely office team is here for your needs too.
We are always interested in talking to existing carers who want to work for a company that really cares about their staff, or people looking to start a new career in care. We look for a number of different qualities in our staff – as a minimum we want people who are reliable, committed to high standards of care, conscientious and who can work under pressure.
